Powering 5V devices from Beaglebone

I am trying to power an HY - SRF05 ultrasonic sensor from my beaglebone.

the Beaglebone is connected to PC via USB.

the problem I have is the SYS_5V pin is only giving me 3.1V

Any ideas or possible causes of this proble?
