Mike - I use this omap2plus-mainline-linux repo to develop for the mainline kernel releases on the PocketBeagle:

https://github.com/RobertCNelson/omap2plus-mainline-linux/tree/v5.10.x

Robert has convenient script that automates a lot of the tedious steps.  It boots ok but certain features like the PRU may not work as they do on the BeagleBoard.org Debian images.
