How to get started with BeagleBoard-XM

I purchased new BeagleBoard-xM. There is a 5V DC Jack on the board but there is no power cable. Do I need to purchase power cable separately?

How do I begin development? What is the embedded Linux development setup in BeagleBoard-xM?

The kit comes with 4GB Micro SD Card. What does it contain? Some distribution of embedded Linux? Is Bootloader also inside the SD Card?
