I try:

root@beagleboard:# arecord -t wav -c 2 -r 44100 -f S16_LE -v k

then

ALSA lib pcm_dmix.c:947:(snd_pcm_dmix_open) The dmix plugin supports only playback stream

arecord: main:590: audio open error: Invalid argument

 

are there anyone see this before?

Yes, try doing: rm /etc/asound.conf
