booting from usb HDD with BBB

Hi I'm running Freepbx (asterisk) for beagle bone black latest build/.

I can boot from and use an SD card no problem

but when I edit "nEnv.txt" to say

mcroot= /dev/sda2

I have a powered hub and it should use the Linux partition and it just does nothing instead of booting from USB.

totally stuck.:(   Any ideas

Need more information. e.g.we need to see your uboot environment file. Also need to see the output from the serial debug port.
