to BeagleBoard

Hello,
I'm Davide and this is my first post in this group.
I'm using a BBB and I've installed the last image of Debian http://debian.beagleboard.org/images/bone-debian-9.4-lxqt-armhf-2018-06-17-4gb.img.xz.
Kernel version Linux beaglebone 4.14.49-ti-r54 #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Jun 15 22:14:13 UTC 2018 armv7l GNU/Linux
There are two things that for me are inexplicable:

  1. I connected the TFT cape 4DCAPE-70T, at first it didn't work, but I make it work adding in /boot/uEnv.txt:

    dtb_overlay=/lib/firmware/BB-BONE-LCD7-01-00A3.dtbo            (would it be the same to use uboot_overlay_addr0=... ???)

    disable_uboot_overlay_video=1

    disable_uboot_overly_adc=1

    if I comment these lines out, the display still works!!! How is it possible?

  2. Even though in /etc/network/interfaces there are no eth0 interface available.
    If I list all the board connection there is an eth0 dhcp connection, and I cannot remove it?
Thank you for the attention.
Davide
