I am running a similar Dell monitor and I have to tell it which input to use in the monitor setup. My monitors has 2 DVI, HDMI,VGA, and composite inputs. Is it possible you have a similar situation?

I am not the expert but I didnt think you got a command line on the HD monitor unless your kernel was a minimal FS.. I thought I remember the HW verification image provided a command line on serial as well as HD monitor I also had an experience where it took a very long time for GUI to appear or I reset several times before seeing a GUI. try another image. Did you say where you got this image? |
