Build Custom Image For BBBW

Hi. I can boot my bbbw by prebuild image from beaglebone website. but i want build my custom image. i download kernel source from "https://github.com/beagleboard/linux.git" git repository and compile kernel. but my problem is the wifi doesn't work with this image. how can i do? what is the problem?
