eth0 and usb0

We have been experience difficulty getting eth0 to accept SSL connections. We have no issues with SSH to the specific IP address that is associated with eth0. When we include the usb0 interface via a connection to a computer, the SSL connections work, but we get the mac address of the usb0 interface even though we connect to eth0. So basically, the question is how do we support SSL connections via the eth0 interface?
