So here is a heads up for my thought. Please read this mail before we have a meet. Thanks. I had/have some plans as for BAD. I was not able to put them out as I was tensed about my career. Now that I have something (least of the things I thought I would be achieving, still) I am putting this forward.

It seems to be a simple job. But we have to put in a little effort as we have thought to put in some work into this beside doing our simple donations.

We have to come into the big picture after all. We cannot decrease our efficiency.

So here it is: I think it is similar procedure for every organization. We just have to convince make an effort, gain their confidence and work it out.

Blood cannot be manufactured in factories, it can only come from generous donors. Organizing blood donation camps is the perfect way to cater to this demand. Everyone wants to contribute towards the society and save lives. You, as a camp organizer, are giving everyone a chance to do so. Organize these camps regularly and bring smiles to many faces.

The BloodConnect team, consisting of passionate students, has been organizing blood donation camps for more than 3 years. It has experience of organizing these camps in various locations. Our team is there to help you through all the steps of organizing the blood donation camp. Find below, a step by step process:

Step 0- Contact us:
We are there to ensure, you organize a successful blood donation camp. Send us an email or fill up this form to contact us

Step 1- Finalize a location:
We can organize the camp in a college, corporate office and residential area. If you cannot find a properly ventilated location inside the building, we can also help you organize a camp outside in a bus/van.

Step 2- Confirm the date:
Finalize a date 2-3 weeks in advance. To organize a blood donation camp, we need to finalize the blood bank, which will send its team of doctors to carry out the camp. We contact the various blood banks on your behalf and it usually takes 2-4 days to finalize the blood bank. After that, we should leave 2 weeks time for the publicity of a blood donation camp.

Step 3- Publicize the camp:
We need to publicize the camp in all ways possible- online mailing, posters and standees. We have a collection of posters, which will help you out in this process. We can also organize an awareness session if required. It is important to clear all the myths that people have about blood donation.

Step 4- Camp day:
Our volunteers are there before the start to help you out in arranging the venue. They will plan out the decorations such that the donor feels special when he/she comes to the camp to donate blood. There are also certain requirements on camp day such as water, electricity supply, tables, etc., which we will inform you beforehand and which you are required to arrange. Hopefully, the camp would get a lot of donations if it has been publicized well enough.

Step 5- Post camp feedback:
We send out mails to all donors thanking them for donating blood and asking them for the feedback on the camp. Based on that, we judge how successful the camp was and what all needs to be worked upon for future blood donation camps.

About finalizing the blood bank:
We only organize blood donation camps with government blood banks. We believe that it is only in the government blood banks that the underprivileged get majority of the blood from these camps. Our objective is to help those who are in dire need and cannot get help by any other means. We finalize the blood bank based on 3 factors: Shortage in blood bank at that time, the distance of the venue from the blood bank and your preference.

Yeah.. Also, you may ask why Google Groups when we have Whatsapp, Facebook etc.

Gmail one of the most powerful mailing services, is considered to be most authentic. Gmail conversations can be presented as a proof in courts. Not that we will have such a situation.

Since we plan to grow into an organization, we have to make ourselves official. Hence, gmail.

I think you can add about usage of plastic, tree plantation to reduce pollution(also we add that quote which we have printed in invitation),and also awareness about recycling. Also we can add about water harvesting.
