Angell Woods is the site of illegal dumping

Up until late June of 2007, a large all but abandoned garage of
corrugated steel at the north end of the Angell Woods parking lot had
been the site of much dumping of items including construction waste,
leaves, and branches, and was a dangerous eyesore. Recently the
garage was torn down, the waste removed, and the area cordoned off.
This long overdue action is progress in the right direction for
protecting the green space. Unfortunately, illegal dumping is has
resumed right near the Angell Woods parking lot. Given that the city
provides a dump site for its citizens for this type of waste, it is
extremely disappointing that irresponsible individuals continue this
wanton misuse of our green spaces. Please keep your eyes open for
signs of illegal dumping and contact public security if you see it
happening.
