Most Americans agree that our democracy is in jeopardy. Partisan battles are raging in Washington and Phoenix over voting laws. But behind the scenes, across the country, non-partisan organizations are proposing, and communities are adopting, ways to open our gridlocked two-party system to new candidates, more civil campaigning, and enhanced citizen education and engagement. Ranked-choice voting and open primaries are just two of many such innovations.
This program will describe these leading cutting-edge procedures and explore their potential for Arizona and the Verde Valley. Interesting speakers.
