On Thursday, January 30, HB2022 will be discussed on the floor of the House in advance of a vote.   This is the bill that would authorize schools to certify teachers and staff to carry guns on the grounds of K-12 schools.

Your CALL is needed to your own legislator to OPPOSE HB2022.  The Democratic Caucus firmly opposes this bill, but need to hear from constituents that you support them.  If you know anyone who is represented by Republicans, please share this email and ask them to contact their Representative.   CALL BEFORE NOON.

Calls DO make a difference!  Last week we asked for calls to the Speaker of the House to assign HB2512 and HB2214 to a committee.

Yesterday, these 2 bills were assigned to the House Judiciary Committee.  Now our job is to get these bills a hearing!

HB2512 provides due process for the transfer of firearms from perpetrators of domestic violence

HB2214 promotes responsible storage of firearms; known as “Christian’s Law"
