[Ali Zuberi]

Hi everyone,
I'd like to post my bio as a potential board member for the Beacon
Hill Merchants.

I moved to Seattle from Michigan, after graduating from Michigan State
University with a degree in Environmental Economics and Policy. I
started working at Edward Jones Investments as a Branch Office
Administrator for two years after college, and now I serve as a
Financial Advisor to the communities of Beacon Hill and Columbia
City.

The majority of my relevant experience for this group comes from Model
United Nations organizations I was involved in from 1997 to 2007. I
started in middle school; this was my first foray into parliamentary
procedure. All throughout high school I served as a board member for
our club. Once in college, I got involved with two different clubs at
MSU: the International Relations Organization, which was our college's
delegation, and MSUMUN, which hosted students to come to our
university to compete.

I started as a member of IRO, then served as VP of Finance and
Operations, and finally served as President. I was also concurrently
an active board member of MSUMUN, and the Spartan Global AIDS
Campaign.

I am excited to play a larger role in the Beacon Hill Community, I
really enjoy the camaraderie we all share, and I look forward to
helping to grow the Beacon Hill Merchants into a widely recognized,
efficiently run group.
