We have been rehearsing but, owing to the nature of a school, the band is continually changing so we are having to teach new members our repertoire. I don’t think I can factor in coming on Wednesday eves at this late stage. I only say that because we have half term on Friday which means we only have the next 5 days to rehearse.

We are rehearsing tomorrow – tues at 1.45/ wed after school for an hour (2.45) and quite a bit of Thursday. If you want to turn up to one of these then you are welcome. Otherwise, I think we will have to wing it!

Hi Clare

I’m Jonathan from Beach Bateria. We should get the bands together to sort something out for Beach Dreams!

We practice on Wednesdays from 8pm to 9.30 at the church hall at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Kings Walk Shoreham Beach. There is plenty of parking.

We did the Brighton Children’s Parade recently and played a new piece which we could share with you, that or something familiar which we both might know. When we arrive at the Beach Dreams site we will have the opportunity to play together for  five or ten minutes.  

Are you able to come to us on one or two of the next two Wednesdays? That or maybe we could come to you.

Hi Clare and Jonathan,
 
I thought I would put you in touch in case you wanted to coordinate the samba playing at Beach Dreams (you are my contacts for Beach Bateria and Shoreham Academy Samba respectively). I’m really just thinking of agreeing up-front how you get on the Green, positioning, and how and what you play and whether you want the bands to play together etc.
 
We are having the usual enactment so I’d say you’ve got 10-15 mins on the Green to give a performance. There are probably other opportunities throughout the day to play between the bands if you wish.
 
This year we are going to occupy the south green across the road and will have another music stage dedicated to Shoreham Allstars.
 
You have each others details...............
