Hi,

I've found a kind of correction:

For me , i used this kind of sport for ten minutes daily .I do this sport because i like it from me child .
".I" -> ". I"

It is nice and good sport specially when we try at morning .It is give to the body the energy as well as regular the work of the heart .
".It" -> ". It"

My question is: Is this a kind of error which should be corrected according to the standard of the shared task? I didn't find this kind in dev set. But there are a lot in test set.

Thanks.

Hi,

Yes, you should correct this kind of error. I did a quick count and actually found a similar number of examples in the dev set too, so they are there. ;)

And this kind?
I've been changing the places ...
"I've" -> "I 've"

It seems that something is wrong with your tokenization phase.

Automatic tokenisation is never perfect regardless of which tool you use, so cases like this will always exist.

In that specific case, the original string in the paragraph was actually "is.I've" so the tokeniser has actually done a reasonable job splitting it to "is . I've" even if it missed the final expansion of "I've" -> "I 've".

This is all genuine learner text, so expect a bit of noise!

So , for the corrected sentences , we should keep  "I've",  not use  "I 've" ?

I'm afraid you're more or less asking us for the correct answer to a particular case so we can't comment.

I would suggest looking a the train or dev set to see how similar examples are handled there and assume the same for the test set.
