Puneet & Veenu Sohi PEC Young Achievers Scholarship: Invitation to Contribute

As many of us know, we lost our dear friend Puneet Sohi [E&EC Batch of 2008] far too soon in July in an accident. In this time of reflection, we also remember his beloved wife, Veenu who too was lost in the same accident. While their absence leaves a deep void, we have an opportunity to celebrate their lives and carry forward their incredible spirit.
With the blessing of Puneet’s parents, our batch is coming together to establish the "Puneet & Veenu Sohi PEC Young Achievers Scholarship".
This scholarship is a way for Puneet and Veenu to live on, not just in our memories, but through the lives they will transform. It will support academically brilliant students from financially challenging backgrounds, with special consideration for those who have lost a parent.
Our goal is to create a perpetual endowment of minimum ₹30,00,000/-. The interest from this fund will cover the tuition fees for one deserving student for all four years of their undergraduate program. Year after year, this scholarship will provide a young PECobian with the opportunity to pursue their dreams, completely free of financial barriers. We intend to start this immediately for the currently ongoing 2025-26 cycle with 1 student being the beneficiary.
This is a collective effort from the PEC 2004–2008 batch, and even other well-wishers are heartily invited to contribute. We are suggesting for a minimum contribution of ₹25,000/- from each of us, though any amount you can contribute is welcome and deeply appreciated.
This is our chance to honor Puneet and Veenu by continuing their legacy of generosity and friendship. Let’s join hands to ensure their memory lives on by empowering the next generation of PECobians.
