I still have the strength to walk for a found of 18 holes golf and I
can still use my little brain to give a talk.
What actually interest me alot these days are:
1) Involve in Birdnest Farming.
2) Promotion on NGV usage for Malaysian Public.
3) Play golf.
1) Birdnest.
I got involved in this very exciting business line by accident. There
was no plan and it was just a pure lunch with my wife's classmates.
While getting to know each other this guy who set beside me spur this
exciting business on Birdnest Farming.
He invited me to visit a few of his own birdnest houses and convinced
me that the business is very low overhead but the potenetial is huge.
I was not that interested in the beginning but after doing a lot of
research and calls I told him that I will try one.
He not only locate a suitable house but also remodel the shoplot to
where it is now.
I bought a worn down shoplot in Sungai Patani and let him do the
conversion to Birdnest.
The shoplot was full of birds and I was very impressed till today.
The thing about birdnest is that it is very simple to operate and the
amount of overhead is very little. Comparing with starting a
business, U do not need any overhead like salaries, allowances, EPF,
socso, medical leave, meternity leave and etc etc. Your employee is
actually the bird, a kind of swiflets. They do not need any motivation
except a condusive house where they can built their nest.
Once they breed and the baby can fly away, U harvest the nest. During
the next cycle, about 3-4 months or so they will come back plus their
young one to start the breeding cycle again and again.
If U have 100 nest for the first year, by 12 months, U should have
around 300 + 100 = 400 nest. and the year after that U can have 1,200
+ 400 = 1600 nests. The year after that U might be getting 1,600 x 3 +
1600 and so on and on.
Normally I use time 2 is more then enought for a pesimisstic
prediction or budget wise.
My 1st birdnest now is doing well and I am very happy with the
progress.
My next move is to increase to one more or perhaps two more.
Will continue the birdnest story soon ....
