BDT affiliated to VTU

Dear Alumni,


You will recall the overwhelming sentiments and wishes expressed by many alumni during the Bangalore Chapter get-together on 26th September 2010 to get BDT college affiliated to VTU. These sentiments were endorsed by all the 450 + members present. With this mandate and wishes in mind, our chapter took the matter further and thanks to the committed and sincere efforts of a few prominent alumni, the process of affiliation with VTU has been successfully completed. This was achieved by these dedicated alumni without much fanfare, by enlisting the support of a few well wishers in government and other circles.

The goverment of Karnataka has officially released it's order on 24th February 2011, affiliating UBDT College of Engineering with Visveswaraya Technological University.

It is planned to have a big get-together in Davangere on the occassion of the official handing over of BDT college to VTU. This function will be organised by the college authorities and alumni association members of Davangere. We shall inform you of the dates and other details so that alumni from Bangalore can plan to be present in Davangere for this historic occassion.
