Saturday, February 19 @ 7:30PM Please join Dr. Hajo Meyer in sharing the lesson of his experience in Auschwitz: Never Again for Anyone. Dr. Meyer will be joined by Osama Abu-Irshaid of the American Muslims for Palestine to discuss the urgency of this message in the United States today. The event will be MC'ed by progressive activists and former Congressional candidate Marcy Winograd. In the face of the on-going ethnic cleansing of Palestine, attacks and persecution of Muslim and Arab communities in the U.S. and Canada, as well as on-going attacks against the rights of immigrants, and those dispossessed of land and livelihood, we assert a commitment to our collective humanity. We stand against the notion that “never again” be applied to some and not all. |

"The memory of the Jewish Holocaust should not be kept isolated from other atrocities in history. To remember what happened to the six million Jews ... serves no important purpose unless it arouses indignation, anger, action against all atrocities, anywhere in the world." ~ Howard Zinn | |
Dr. HAJO MEYER + OSama Abu-Irshaid + Marcy Winograd $5-50 suggested donation. No one turned away for lack of funds. First Unitarian Church of Los Angeles -- Channing Hall, 1st Floor Channing Hall is fully wheelchair accessible, but we regret that church restrooms require one to walk a few steps.
