from where should be buy snd for construction or should we drive down
to mysore road and then catch a sand truck for construction. We have
seen some lorry drivers mixing low quality sand with good sand on top
and selling.

Hi pradeep
Where is your site located?....every area had a sand trucks stand, you
can buy from there. Its always recommended to climb up the lorry and
then see samples from deep in side at least a 1 feet down.Usually your
masons are expertise in these things. So you can take them along with
you, since it would be difficult for you to climb and check each and
every lorry there.

Will there be a time when we Indians reduce our greed for cheating?
Sand trucks mixing poor quality sand and keeping good quality on top,
apartment builders using poor quality materials for construction and
then camouflaging it all will good paints and expensive looking
fittings. It is the same story everywhere. Very few Indian exporters
get LC at sight because of the bad reputation created by some
unscrupulous Indian exporters - they loaded bricks and stones into a
container instead of the said goods.

I was talking to an Iraqi importer the other day at Dubai airport and
he mentioned that he stopped importing from India and now looks at
only other countries because he finds Indians not very trustworthy in
their dealings.

It is a shame for us this reputation that we have created for
ourselves.

yes the only time we Indians do not cheat is when there is no
opportunity to cheat. We have
even made God a partner in our crime by donating to God, a part of
the money earned via dubious means.

A few years ago, the residents of probably the most affluent ,
educated neighborhood of Bangalore (Koramangala) went to court to ask
the court to shift the IT companies away from the residential
neigborhood as it violated BDA rules. The court asked BMP to conduct a
survey and take action against all violators of BDA rules. When BDA
conducted the survey almost all of them (including those who had gone
to court seeking its intervention, had violated BDA rules). When BBMP
started demolition, the residents took to streets protesting the
demolition. We are quick to point out other's violations, mistakes,
etc and convinently forget our own.

For us, Cheating is a way of life and yet we chant "our culture is
great" and "Mera Bharat Mahaan" at every opportunity.

tvsh, yes we all are to blame for this without exceptions. For every
guy who blatantly cheats, there are ten others who silently watch but
dont utter a word ! These people are as much part of this game if they
donot standup and speak up.
