Subject: Inviting minority and majority Chinese students/scholars to participate in research

Hello BCSSA signatories,

My name is Merideth Hoagland, and I'm a graduate student at Georgia State University. I have a request for you.

I would like to invite any Chinese students at the Berkeley Chinese Students and Scholars Association to participate in a research study. In exchange for participating (a 1-hour time commitment), the students will get writing practice and detailed feedback from me on their writing. (I have served as a writing instructor in the U.S. and in China; I also have experience with English proficiency testing.)

Would you be willing to forward the attached invitation to any Chinese students in your association, along with my contact information (below)?

Many thanks for considering my request, and all my best wishes for a successful new year at BCSSA.

Merideth Hoagland
