Great idea, Tejas!  I'm also in.  Evenings would work better for me as well.

I definitely am... although I think in the review session Prof. Fee gives us some problems that are identical to that on the exam. At least this is what I heard from the second years.

I have to do surgeries all day on Sat/Sun... Can we try to do it in the evening? :)

Hope studying is going well for everyone!

Hello all,

It seems like we won't get study questions for biophys and vision. We should hold a comprehensive review session (at least for biophys) on Saturday. We could walk through the lecture notes (from Idan), come up with potential questions and make sure we understand all the material thoroughly. Who is up for this?

i'm down for a review session, but could we do it sometime during the week or monday before the exam?

does that work for anyone else? i suppose we could also just split into two groups if there are different times that work for different people.

This was just screaming for a doodle http://www.doodle.com/e6qrxyyd2x2zsux3

Maybe everyone can fill it out and indicate ALL days that would work for you so we can pick a day when the most people can make it.  If things seem to split naturally into two groups we can do that as well.  For now, assume an evening time (I think at least 7p) and we can work out a more exact time later once we have things narrowed down a bit.

Let's try to have everyone who is interested submit their availability by tomorrow night so we can move on with planning, sound good?

If you haven't yet, fill out the doodle so we can settle on a final time if you're interested!

So it seems as though Monday would work best for the most people, though Sunday was a close second (14 people vs 13).  After hearing about the format of the review session, however, I can see how it might be helpful for us to have gone over the material and come up with any questions we have before Monday's class so we can have them answered definitively by one of the profs.  I just thought I would throw out the idea of meeting on Sunday night vs Monday for this reason, even though it wasn't the exact winner.

That said, I completely understand that it's not exactly fair to change the rules on a whim so we can definitely still keep Monday as the default review day...just wanted to hear your thoughts/thought it was worth bringing up.

See you all soon!

I agree 100% with meeting before the review session. I think we all
will be better prepared to ask questions and get a lot more out of the
in-class review session.

I would be happy to meet on Sunday evening and if people are
interested Monday evening too. Nothing super exciting planned for
either evening :).

I'd preferSunday also, but I can't go on Monday, so I'm a bit biased.

:)

And I'd prefer Monday, but I'm clearly biased as well.

Why wouldn't we try to have two meetings as previously suggested?

Such a solution would allow us to dig out questions for the review session and discuss questions that arise after the review session (as potentially for the Biophysics part).

Hey guys,

It's getting pretty windy over here and I would rather not walk over the bridge tonight and get swept off by a massive hurricane, so I'm gonna sit this one out. I'll be there tomorrow though, weather permitting. That being said, there's a chance MIT will be closed tomorrow, so I'm not sure how the class review session is going to work, and if it's cancelled, whether the midterm will be pushed back... Anyway, if anyone hears anything about this, post it. See you all soon.

Hi guys,

I am assuming that we are not meeting tonight, but in the case of I wanted to let you know that I will not risk walking over the bridge.. :(

See you tomorrow afternoon!
