Synopsis

You may have joined the BCS some time ago and want an update on the ways to maximise the benefits provided by your membership, or you may be considering joining and wondering if the investment required is worth it. Either way, one of the chief benefits is a set of models and tools to help you steer your career in the direction you want to go.

SFIA 8, whose development was supported among others by BCS Learning and Development, is an internationally recognised skills and competency framework for the digital world (see https://www.sfia-online.org/en/sfia-8). Sherilyn's overview of BCS membership benefits, tools and services will centre on a practical demonstration of the SFIAplus skills & capability framework tool, designed to help you navigate the complexities of SFIA 8 and build your skills profile - a passport to opportunity.
