The Centre for Development Informatics (CDI) at the University of Manchester is accepting applications from high-quality PhD candidates to research topics on ICTs / digital / data and socio-economic development.

Studying at CDI, you will join a world-leading multi-disciplinary group of ten staff and thirty doctoral researchers, with research concentrations on digital economy, transformation, inclusion and sustainability in relation to the global South.  You can select between traditional and paper-publication-based modes of write-up.

Our PhD students receive funding support for international fieldwork and conference presentations, alongside teaching assistantship opportunities.  Some scholarships are available for the highest-quality candidates (with distinction-level Masters from an internationally-recognised university), with all application to be completed by January 2018 for those seeking to compete for funding.

Further details about application, topic areas and scholarships can be found at: https://www.cdi.manchester.ac.uk/study/postgraduate-research/
