People - Teacher expects just iPads for her classroom, but Ellen gives one more generous surprise ! Ellen DeGeneres spends a good portion of her daytime talk show honoring everyday people who make a difference in their communities. One woman named Ashlyn gives of her heart, time and money, as an occupational therapist for underprivileged kids. She appeared on Ellen's show to talk about her big-hearted work. What Ashlyn didn't know what that Ellen had a special surprise for her. The teacher travels a long distance to work in the disadvantaged area of Brantley County, Georgia. "The best part of my job would have to be helping these amazing kids and putting a smile on their face." Ashlyn not only took a reduced salary, she gives back 10% of her income to help provide additional assistance for things the kids need.
