This training event led by the Physicians Against the Trafficking of Humans (PATH) is an interactive lecture-based seminar on understanding human trafficking, and more importantly on how to address this issue in healthcare settings. Human trafficking is a challenge both globally and locally, but Houston has one of the highest human trafficking rates for several reasons including geographic location and economic ties. At the conclusion of the lecture, we will have a guest Q&A panel consisting of various community partners who work with trafficked survivors.
