BCM PsychMinded Upcoming Events & Opportunities (Part 2)

Hi, everyone!

Here are two more things happening within the next month that you should know about:

1. Planning a Girls’ Night Out? “Work” Happy Hour? Networking Event? Or do you just enjoy eating, drinking, AND supporting your community?!! We see you and know of the perfect spot! Please join us throughout the month of October at OKRA Charity Saloon! The concept is simple: for each drink or food item purchased, you will receive one ticket to put into the charities’ booth of your choosing. The charity with the most tickets at the end of the month receives the next month’s proceeds. Come support Baylor College of Medicine Anti-Human Trafficking Program (BCM A-HTP) any Tuesday-Saturday! Let us know if you’re feeling extra ambitious and want to host your own event throughout the month and we will help spread the word! If you cannot attend but would like to donate directly (but c'mon it would be more fun if you celebrated with us!)…. please visit the Houston Health Foundation (http://houstonhealthfoundation.org/our-programs/bcm-anti-human-trafficking). All donations are allocated for mental health, medical, and support services for victims and survivors of human trafficking. We look forward to seeing you there! Special dates to come out include: 10/23 to meet work partners (come celebrate two years, 4-8pm, happy hour, Dr. Reissinger's birthday, no cover and tickets) and 10/30 for a huge moms' night out.
