This morning, I did a blog posting about ospreys with many pictures. The posting succeeded.

However, many servers blocked my automatic anouncement to subscribers, citing moralistic grounds. This is bizarre in that it is merely a naturalist’s posting for birders.

Sigh…. If you are a subscriber who failed to receive the announcement, and you wish to see the posting, just visit my blog and read it.

Looks as if the servers invoked a word search function that seeks to find potentially offensive content. I suspect "kiss" did the trick. The opposite can be true when undertaking a search for inocuous content using words which can be interpreted in an erotic context. It can be embarassing to explain why your search history contains racey websites. Ah, the perils of the internet.

I suspect that is the case.

Oh, this has nothing to do with searches — it is the result of the content of a single outgoing message about ospreys.
