We've got some great stuff coming up this week and hope to see you
there!
On Wednesday (5/16) we're having the monthly Musician's Skillshare,
which is part of the DIY Durham series. Bring some instruments and
teach, learn or listen. (Last month's skillshare was awesome!! We
traded strumming patterns, chords and songs on banjos, guitars,
ukuleles, pianos and a strange percussion spinny thing).
Friday (5/18) is the artwalk, and Rebekah is organizing a benefit for
a boys' orphanage in Sri Lanka that was devastated by the 2004 SE Asia
tsunami. Portraits of the boys will be on display and information will
be available on monthly sponsorship that goes towards an individual
boy's English tutoring, room and board. Sawteeth McTweedy and the
Particles and the Water Callers will be closing out 3rd Fridays
Culture Crawl. Show starts at 9pm.
On Saturday (5/19) we have the Youth Noise Network benefit show and
fish fry with Durham hip hop heroes Language Arts, Dasan Ahanu and an
eclectic mix of jazz, hip hop and rock performed by local youth.

show with Beloved Binge and Midtown Dickens. It will be awesome.

Next Tuesday (5/22) we'll have the Musicians Work Shop from 7-9.
Melissa from 307 Knox and Michelle from the Electric Blender will be
there sharing contact info and merch making techniques. Go to
