Hey All!!

A quick note to remind you that the Great Band Swap BCHQ Benefit is
happening this Saturday at the Duke Coffeehouse! Beloved Binge,
eberhardt, The Future Kings of Nowhere, Megafaun, Midtown Dickens and
The Wigg Report will all be playing each other's songs to raise money
for the space! All kinds of awesomeness and surprises included (eg a
special guest appearance from Man Blossom), plus food/drink treats
from 7 to 9pm. Heather will be there signing up volunteers and
offering info, calendars and sweets as well as "Donations to BCHQ Gift-
Certificates" which are an awesome way to give to the community AND
your mom!
Music starts at 9.

Also coming up on the schedule:

Nov 30, 6-7pm. Queer Coalition. Meets to strengthen networks within
the queer community. Held at Broad Street Café, 1116 Broad St,
Durham. 8pm: Carpool to a home screening of The Bird Cage.

Dec 7, 6pm--BCHQ Volunteer meeting and training session. Come to
Alivias (900 W Main St, Durham) to find out how you can help with
programming, fundraising, and whatever it is that you'd like to bring
to the table!!

Dec 8, 9pm- Music: Beloved Binge, Elevado, Ponchos for Peru, All Your
Science (debut performance!).

Dec 12--DIY Night: Art Hanging! Come learn how to curate / hang an art
show and make delicious pumpkin pie.

Dec 14 -Art: Opening of Cheap! Local! Art! Works by local artists
(including Beth Tacular, Ruth Eckles, David and Shirle, Kym, Rebekah &
Catherine etc etc) to raise money for heaters at BCHQ!!

Dec 23: Music 7pm: +/-, The Vagabond, Hunting Bears Until Futher
Notice, Elf-Owl,
Valley , The Busy World

Dec 28 - Music: Government Warning, Logic Problem, Crossed Eyes, Chest
Pains.

**2008**

Jan 4 - Music: Born Bad, Socialcide, tba.

Jan 5--DIY Night: Music Skillshare. Bring instruments to teach or
learn.

Jan 12 - Music: Worn in Red, Brainworms, Hazerai.

Jan 18: Art: Opening: No One Piece: Books of paint, words, photos &
floss by Catherine to benefit Safe Passage, which works to empower at-
risk children of families working in the community of the Guatemala
City garbage dump. http://www.safepassage.org/

Ongoing:
1st and 3rd Wednesdays 7-9 DIY nights / skillshares.
Fridays 6pm. Queer Coalition: Meets to strengthen networks within the
queer community. Held at Broad Street Café, 1116 Broad St, Durham.
Sundays (1-6) and Tuesdays (7pm starting Dec 4) Durham Bike Coop and
bike coop clinic (the 4th is "Tires and Tubes"). Yay bike coop!
