Great news! Starting this week we will have regular hours on Monday,
Wednesday and Friday from 10am-1pm. We encourage you to stop by, share
ideas, read books, do art, chat, use the space!! We are really
focusing on getting to know our neighbors better, and we think that
having open doors is a good way to meet more people and learn about
what the community wants to see at BCHQ.

Starting at the end of June, we'll be hosting a weekly Queer Youth
Drop-In Night! So we're kickin' it off with a bang on Fri, June 29th,
with the first-ever BCHQ Open Mic Drag Night! Consider this our formal
open call to strut your stuff. Bring us your spoken word, your
political statements, your best moves! Make it sweet, make it sassy,
just get up an shake it! Please RSVP as soon as you can and don't
forget to pass the word along to friends. Sign in starts at 7:30;
show is from 8-11pm. Please bring your own music and come early to
make sure you get a spot!
As for the space itself, your support and enthusiasm has been awesome.
We raised enough money this month to pay next month's rent (plus a
dollar!) so your donations are going to good use, and your support is
integral!! Please keep it coming! You can donate at www.myspace.com/bchq,
or if you'd rather give us stuff, we're in need of some soundproofing
(curtains, rugs, etc), and we'd really love to get wireless in the
space so that we can be there more often, and offer more resources! Oh
yeah, and Kym wants a pony.
Thanks so much!
Catherine and the BCHQ crew
