Youth Art! Opening at BCHQ this weekend!

This Friday there's a reception (6-8pm) for a local 6th grader's
artwork.

Expressions by Nilisha

Expressions is a series of portraits in marker and colored pencil by
Nilisha, a 6th grader at Chewning Middle School. Nilisha lives in the
BCHQ neighborhood where her work was spotted and selected for the
premeire of "Art Attack: The Pulse of Youth Creation."

Art Attack is a new art program at BCHQ that features the work of
local youth. The artists learn what it means to effectively curate,
promote, and hang an art show. All of the art is affordably priced
under $25 and the proceeds will go to art supply scholarships for the
youth involved.

Join us for the opening reception on November 16th and help support
youth art in Durham!

Also, we'll be open from 10am-2pm on Saturday for Artwalk. Sunday the
bike co-op will be open their normal hours from 1-6pm.
