Dear PRs,
I hope this email finds you well.
I would like to share with you attached the latest version of the GF visit agenda in which we have added the BCCM meeting that has been confirmed for 20th February.
In addition, our PHME expert Brian will unfortunately not be able to travel due to personal reasons. He will still join virtually the specific meeting on data systems for each disease, on PPM and on DR-TB virtually, so these are maintained as planned. We will be sharing meeting invites with connection links shortly and would be grateful if you could ensure the adequate IT set-up. However, we kindly ask you to cancel the PPM site visit planned on Monday 12 February.
For ease of reference, we have added in the agenda the participants for GF side in each meeting.
We remain available for any clarification.

Kevin

Subject: RE: Global Fund visit to Dhaka from 11 to 19 February
Dear Dr Rupali, Dear PRs,
I hope this email finds you well.
We would like to share with you the updated agenda of the GF CT visit.
We have done some adjustments to the agenda to accommodate availabilities of key people and added a few meetings or participants.
The key change is that we have shifted the visit to Shyamoli RTRL and the subsequent laboratory meeting from Wednesday 14 February to Tuesday 13 February, in parallel to other meetings already planned on 13th. In turn, the site visit to TrueNat implementation sites is shifted from 13 to 14th February.
The other adjustments are:
- For the HIV data systems meeting on 12th and TB data systems meeting on 13th, we have added as agenda points the HIV DQR and TB incidence estimation, respectively. We would be grateful if you could extend the invitation to WHO to participate in these discussions.
- We have added a proposed meeting with USAID on the 14th in the morning. Please note that the GF team will coordinate directly with USAID for this.
- On Wednesday 14th, we have shortened the finance capacity building session for all PRs to cover the morning only, as it should be sufficient to cover the content. We will have a meeting with LFA in the afternoon.
- On Thursday 15th, we have added side meetings in the afternoon on PSM issues and on DR-TB, to ensure we have sufficient time to discuss these topics. We trust these can be accommodated at the same venue (NTP).
We remain available for any clarification.

Kevin

Subject: RE: Global Fund visit to Dhaka from 11 to 19 February
Dear Dr Rupali,
Many thanks for your message and updates regarding our upcoming visit. We are very much looking forward to seeing all of you and all the progress you have made in the recent past.
In response to your questions (… and even the things you did not ask):
1. Our thinking regarding the Finance Capacity Building sessions was to open the 11th and 14th February sessions to all PRs’ finance staff, as we intend to communicate some changes in the finance guidelines and reporting formats, which are relevant to all implementers. For the 12th and 13th sessions, we aim rather to focus on the newcomers to GF grant implementation and to spend the time orienting them to the Global Fund operations. As the major finance team changes occurred under the GOB PRs, we suggested to limit participation to GOB finance teams only. We hope this makes sense, but are of course open to your alternative suggestions.
2. Regarding the sustainability meeting, I would like to request that you keep the attendance for this meeting very small, as the aim of the meeting will be to take stock of the lessons regarding the sustainability plan development to date and to strategise on how to move forward. To this end, I believe a meeting of the GOB PR PMU heads from each PR and max one other strategic thinker from each PR would suffice.
3. We would request a similar approach for the PPM discussion – perhaps less strict in terms of attendance, but please ensure that the invitees are highly relevant to the operational approaches on PPM.
4. I also wanted to use this opportunity to inform you that James and myself have decided to extend our trip by one extra day and to return to Geneva only on 20 February night. For now, we have very limited agenda items and if you feel that we need any other discussions, please do not hesitate to propose.
5. For the two site visits, we would recommend extending the invitation to UNAIDS (for HIV) and for WHO and USAID (for TB), in case they are able to attend. The CCM Coordinator has also requested to participate in the Khulna visit and we have no objection to this.
6. Finally, with regard to the preparation for the meetings, Kevin has already shared some guidelines. In addition, we would appreciate it if for each meeting, you could please give us an update on the progress for the grant making management actions agreed with each respective program and share with us – in advance of our travel - any of the outputs already developed to meet your commitments.
Please don’t hesitate to follow up in case you have any other questions. (Kindly note that I have limited the distribution list of this email as it was rather extensive and included some staff no longer employed by the programs.)
Best wishes,
Gyongyi

Dear Gyongyi and Dear Kevin,
We hope this email finds you well. I'm writing to share the updated plan as of today, February 6th for your kind review.
Regarding the Finance Capacity Building Sessions, scheduled for February 11th and 14th for PRs staff, and February 12th and 13th for GoB PR Staff. Could you please confirm whether these sessions will entail separate groups of participation for GoB and all PRs/NGO PRs? It will support our understanding in finalizing the participants list accordingly.
Additionally, I'd like to inform you that NTP is finalizing the TB meetings/ activities in collaboration with PR Brac and the meeting on Sustainability agenda and will share them with you by tomorrow.
Furthermore, we are hoping that Mr.Zaman and Dr Mushfiqur / Dr Shayla are taking care of the HIV and Malaria Meetings/activities respectively, and will share their updates with you shortly.

Dear Principal Recipients,
Many thanks for your feedback on the draft agenda, through email or through calls.
Based on these, we have made some slight changes in the attached agenda, the main ones being:
- The HIV site visits on 11 Feb is now planned in Jessore instead of Dhaka
- The Malaria and PSA technical working group are shifted from Wednesday 14 to Tuesday 13, and the TB lab meetings from 13 to 14th
- For the site visits in/around Khulna, we would request BRAC to organize the TB site visits on Saturday 17th and NTP on Sunday 18th. On Sunday 18th, visit to an ART centre is added.
We hope these changes address the feedback received so far and remain open to any further feedback and/or suggestions.

Dear Kevin,
I hope this email finds you well. Thank you for sharing the detailed information regarding the upcoming visit of GF to Bangladesh from 11th to 19th February 2024.
As a quick reflection on the plan, I'd like to suggest a small adjustment. Could you shift the NTP site visits ( I hope NMEP will have the same issue ) in and around Khulna from Saturday 17th to Sunday instead?
Additionally, please be informed that the NTP team will review the detailed plan and will share any further suggestions from our end.
Thank you once again for your cooperation and understanding. Looking forward to your confirmation on the proposed adjustment and to a fruitful collaboration during the visit.

I am writing to inform you that the Global Fund country team is planning to visit Bangladesh from 11 to 19 February 2024. The key objectives of the visit are to take stock of the results of GC6 grants and discuss key strategies and activities to be implemented in GC7. Furthermore, we would like to kindly request each national disease program, in coordination with the NGO PRs, to support us in organizing and confirming the date, time and location of the different disease specific meetings.
We would be grateful for NTP to also take the lead on the organization of the cross-cutting sessions on PPM (for TB and malaria PRs) and RSSH and sustainability (for all PRs) on Thursday 14th February.
To ensure effective and meaningful discussions during the meetings, we also kindly request you to ensure:
- That for all the meetings, to limit the invitation to the key staff that will actively contribute to the discussion (ideally 5-7 persons maximum per PR). The meetings should be organized at PR offices and not in outside venues.
- We would be grateful if the PRs could prepare presentations on the programmatic and financial progress and challenges, reprogramming needs and any other issue for discussions in advance of the meetings, and to share these with the Global Fund team by 9 February 2024.
We kindly ask the BCCM Secretariat to assist us in scheduling the high-level and debrief meetings on Monday 19th February.
Regarding the site visits, we would like to request the following organizations to take the lead for the organization:
- ASP for the HIV-focused site visits on Sunday 11th
- NTP for the visit to Shyamoli RTRL and BRAC for the PPM site visit on Tuesday 13th
- NTP for the laboratory-focused site visits on Wednesday 14th
- NTP and NMEP for the site visits in/around Khulna on Saturday 17th
- BRAC for the site visits in/around Khulna on Sunday 18th.
Please note that the GF team will have a vehicle available for the site visits. We have included in the draft agenda proposed sites or areas of interest but remain open to your recommendations and suggestions in developing a detailed agenda.
We remain available for any clarification and look forward to meeting you in person in two weeks.

Kevin
