Request for Financial Support for GF Funding Request Development Committee Meetings

I am writing to formally request your financial support for the upcoming series of meetings organized by the Global Fund (GF) Funding Request Development Committee chaired by ADG (Planning & Development). The Committee will convene for five meetings till 10th June 2026 aimed at developing a comprehensive and high-quality Funding Requests to be submitted to the Global Fund for GC8.
Meeting Schedule:
- 4th Meeting on 10th May 2026
- 5th Meeting on 16th May 2026 (Tentative)
- 6th Meeting on 24th May 2026 (Tentative)
- 7th Meeting on 2nd June 2026 (Tentative)
- 8th Meeting on 9th June 2026 (Tentative)
Objective of the Meetings:
The primary objective of these meetings is to facilitate strategic, technical, and financial discussions among committee members to draft, review, and finalize the Funding Request for HIV, TB, & Malaria for GC8. The sessions will focus on aligning the proposal with national health priorities, ensuring adherence to Global Fund guidelines, identifying resource gaps, and integrating evidence-based interventions for maximum impact.
Expected Outcomes:
By the end of the five meetings, the Committee aims to:
- Produce a complete and well-substantiated draft of the GF Funding Request for GC8.
- Secure consensus on budget allocations, programmatic targets, and implementation arrangements.
- Identify and address any gaps in data, stakeholder engagement, or risk mitigation strategies.
- Deliver a final version of the FRs for GC8 ready for internal validation and submission to the Global Fund.
Request for Financial Support:
To ensure the success of these meetings, we respectfully request your support to cover the following logistical expenses:
- Transportation for committee members (to and from the meeting venue)
- Lunch and light refreshments for five meeting days
- Snacks during breaks
- Stationery (notepads, pens, printing of working documents, flip charts, markers, etc.)
Your contribution will directly enable consistent attendance, active participation, and focused deliberations by the committee members, many of whom are volunteers or representatives from partner organizations.
Please let us know if you require any further information, such as a detailed participant list. I am sending the attached estimated budget for the meetings. We would be grateful for your consideration and look forward to the possibility of your support.
