1 – Information about Trees
2 – Recruiting Data Collectors for the Youth Count and Survey
3 – BernCo Juvenile Justice System Survey

4 – La Familia Growers Market

5 – Health Equity Specialists Positions

Attached is the new Public Health Order. I may be mis-reading it. It sounds to me as if we are now in charge of using our best judgement in terms of following physical distancing and other public health actions. So please continue to wear your masks, wash your hands, cover your cough, and stay home when feeling ill. We are doing great and are not done yet. Think of all the work you have done to get us this far. We can continue to practice and model good public health!

On a separate note, if anyone hears of ways to get solar light bulbs or phone chargers for free to distribute in the community please let me know! At our last meeting we discussed how climate change and access to energy are important public health issues and we feel that solar swag is one way to raise awareness and start conversations. If you feel like donating toward that type of effort you can donate to your Health Equity Council at the link in my signature below.

1 – Information about Trees
We have had reports of trees being cut from public spaces in order to discourage our neighbors without addresses from using the shade as a refuge. We understand there are many feelings about when and where our neighbors utilize public space. Please share this as appropriate.

2 – Recruiting Data Collectors for the Youth Count and Survey

10 temporary data collectors needed to help with the Youth Count and Survey on PIRE’s website: https://pirecareers.hua.hrsmart.com/hr/ats/Posting/view/181

Please share the attached flyer and the link with young adults who are (or appear to be) age 18-25 and encourage them to apply online.  Also, please let me know the names of any young people you are referring directly.

3 – BernCo Juvenile Justice System Survey

The Bernalillo County Juvenile Justice Continuum Board would like to gather feedback from Youth and Families who may have had contact at some time (current or past) with the Juvenile Justice System in Bernalillo County. The Bernalillo County Juvenile Justice Continuum Board acknowledges that the COVID-19 Pandemic has had a significant impact on all families this year to include access to education and other community services. The purpose of this survey is to gather as much feedback from parents and youth in our community to help the Bernalillo County Juvenile Justice Continuum Board create a strategic plan that reflects the identified needs of youth and families in Bernalillo County for the upcoming year into the future. We would appreciate as much feedback as possible to ensure that your voice is heard!

Community Providers and System Stakeholders if you could please pass this survey on to youth and families you know, we would appreciate your help!
