Hello everybody!

The April/May schedule is up here. We're playing Annandale at 2:00 next Sunday at Sligo. We also have games lined up against TJ, Sidwell, and Eleanor Roosevelt.  

You may have noticed that there are two blank spaces on that schedule, on April 29th and May 13th. We are not playing regular WAFC games on those weekends.

On April 29th, there is an all-day tournament in Lake Fairfax (Fairfax Ultimax) that a lot of WAFC teams will be attending. April 29 is the day after prom. I think we can safely say that if we're sending a team to Ultimax we need at least 7 non-seniors. So if you are planning on playing on that date, PLEASE let us know right away, so we know if we can send a full team.

The other big event is the Maryland state championship tournament, which is now less than a month away (May 12 - 13). If you want to come to states, then you have a few things to do:

1. Let us know, preferably by email. There won't be any opportunity for last-minute sign ups, so figure your stuff out fast.

2. If you haven't already, sign up for a USA Ultimate account at https://members.usaultimate.org/members/login.php, and give us your USAU ID number. You may skip this step if you played at States last year, since we should be able to recover the old roster. 

3. Pay both your membership fee ($30) and sign the online waiver. You need to do this even if you played last year, it only lasts until December 31. We will know if you haven't done this yet, so expect botheration until you do.

There will be various fees associated with both States and Ultimax, but we'll let you know when those are definite. 

Let's take states this year, guys. Seriously.

The hotline has no new information on WAFC jr, but all regular WAFC games have been cancelled, so I'm not actually sure (I think Dave Soles is out of town this weekend, so there might be not be anyone dealing with this). I will try and get in touch with Annandale and see what they think we should do.

Last night, their captain suggested that we go out to their field in Virginia, which we can use even if it's wet, but I told him that we can't get out there at such short notice. 

Keep checking, games are *probably* off but I can't figure out a way to find that out for sure. Sorry.
