Don't Unnecessarily Burden the Church

1Tim 5:16 If any believing man or woman has widows, let them relieve them, and do not let the church be burdened, that it may relieve those who are really widows.

This is a reiteration of what he's been saying. But I'd like to focus on this idea of burdening the church unnecessarily. For how many burden the church unnecessarily and divert funds which could be used for the truly needy? In fact Paul himself generally avoided burdening the church concerning his own needs, opting rather to be self-supporting - which allowed him to be generous and free up the resources of others.
