1John 4:5 Does the World Listen?

1John 4:5 They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them.
The Bible says, "the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear." 2Tim 4:3 There's a danger in preachers making numbers and popularity the measure of successful ministry. If you seek popularity, if you seek to be well-spoken of by the world, then just tell them exactly what they want to hear.
But Jesus said, "Woe to you when all men speak well of you" You can bet that there is something wrong with you if you are well spoken of by the world. Consider Jesus - yes he was well-known, but world crucified him. That's what can be expected of the Christian life.
Rom 12:2a Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is
