Hi Folks,

We have received a circular from the principal to send a gift worth 200/-. So can we send a gift of our choice or should we give this money to the class teacher.

You have to send gift, not money : As I interpret the circular.

We received a call from the teacher asking for contributions towards carnival... Did any of you receive similar calls??? If yes pls let me know what is the minimum expetected??

My son got a note that we have to meet the teacher today at 12:40pm. We will be going to the school.

I am not sure what this note is about. Could be the contribution that you mention Sudhi.

I have already paid Rs 1500 by cheque and a gift. I will let you know how much more do they ask if this

is the reason they have called us today.

We me the UKG C teacher today. She asked Rs 2500 as contribution.

Thanks Asheesh... when my wife spoke, the teacher mentioned anywhere upto Rs.25000, that got me a bit worried! Even though Rs.2500 seems reasonable, I somewhere feel they should not be asking us for additional contributions after we've paid the Rs.1500 and also given the gift as initially suggested.

Yes agreed. for us they asked around 10000 which is too much after paying 1500+gift.

Imagine if each one would have paid around 4000 including 1500 then for 60 kids each section and of 8 sections in one class.

Is this carnival happens every year ?

No. This is special for 175th year celebration. This does not happen every year.
