So long as there isn't another major event on the 29th, it's probably best to move it, in my opinion. In this way, we try to keep the practice of avoiding scheduling conflicts.
Does the GSA schedule its events far in advance? (i.e. - for future purposes can we avoid scheduling conflicts with them)
If they don't, it might be motivation to have a couple of tentative dates for our social events—like Poker Night—and avoid setting hard dates too early on in the year/semester. Then we could choose from our couple of dates and take into account GSA events and other scheduled events.
