Scheduling a BCB GSA Volunteer Event

Hey guys,

Two quick things. 

1. I updated the Google group, so if you’re on it and don’t want to receive e-mails, go ahead and disable them. Everyone is an Owner on the group and can edit it. If you know of someone who should be on it and isn’t, please add them, or let me know so I can add them.

2. Alicia handed us the remaining funds from last year’s PBJ sack lunch volunteer event. Amy and I are trying to schedule one for this year. Are there any scheduling conflicts for Monday, December 5th? Friday, Dec 2nd is the last day of classes, so we don’t have BIOC 581 on Mon, Dec 5th. 

I’ll get in contact with Anisha to ask her about the logistics of the volunteer event in previous years.

Hi everyone,

Let’s tentatively schedule the PBJ volunteer event for December 5th, please put this on your calendar. I’m thinking we’ll do it from 2–3 PM, so that we can maximize the number of volunteers we get (this would normally be BIOC 581). 

I’ll contact the Emergency Aid Coalition (EAC) and let them know we would be delivering the lunches on the morning of December 6th.

I’m going to draft an e-mail that Susan Cates will distribute to the department asking for donations and I want to include a GSA member for every building so that faculty, post-docs, students, and staff can drop off their donations. Here’s what I’m thinking: 

Keck: Razan Alnahhas 

GRB: Joey Olmos

Anderson: Ruda Cui 

BRC: Carlos Origel 

Is everyone listed above okay with this? and if so, can you please send me your room numbers so I can include them in the e-mail.
