Regarding the snakes...Even Aravind found a rat snake in our patio the other day. We asked our pest control guy about that and he said they might be here for the rats but if we see more then may be we can put something for them for 60 $. 

So keep an eye and may be if u think u need to go for the treatment then call ur pest control guy.
