Many thanks to Chief Brian Swett for his service to climate action in Boston. Special kudos for the passage of BERDO.
Friends and Colleagues,
After a fun and challenging two and a half years as Boston's Chief of Environment, Energy, and Open Space, I will be stepping down at the end of the year. It has been a distinct honor and privilege to serve the people of Boston in the Menino and Walsh administrations, and to work with such dedicated and talented colleagues inside and outside of City Hall.
I am proud of what we have accomplished together in the last few years. The City has taken nationally leading actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and prepare for climate change. We have taken a proactive approach to ensuring rental housing is safe for all Boston residents and overseen major investments in preserving our historic buildings and landmarks. We have continued to invest in our renowned system of parks and open spaces as we prepare for the growth of the City. None of this would have been possible without the support and guidance of so many of you, and for that I am deeply grateful.
My time at City Hall has been tremendously rewarding, but I am looking forward to a new challenge. When I leave at the end of the year, I can be reached at brian...@gmail.com.
Best Regards - Brian
