Is anyone else reading The End of the Long Summer by Diane Dumanoski?

Here's a great quote that stopped me in my tracks tonight:

"...new analysis indicates that the Ice Age ended abruptly...'within a remarkable three years,' initiating a rapid warming of 18 degrees F."
