ACUPUNCTURE AND CHINESE HERBAL MEDICINE

Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine have been used in China for more
than 3000 years. A about 90% Chinese patients use them daily. The education
of Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture is just like the other sciences
in China. There are three year full time programs, five year full time MD
programs, eight year full time programs and 12 year full time M.D. and pH.D.
programs for either acupuncturists or herbalologists. There are a lot of
researches regarding acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine too. In terms
of practices of both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, they have
acupuncture hospitals and clinics, Chinese herbal medicine hospitals and
clinics plus that 99% of the other hospitals with a dept. of acupuncture or
herbal medicine, or both together. Chinese scientists have found that more
than 400 diseases or conditions can be either cured or helped by acupuncture
or Chinese herbal medicine.
In the USA, people just start to know and to benefit from acupuncture and
Chinese herbal medicine. In Washington in Nov.1997, NIH announced officially
that there are many conditions and diseases can be either helped or cured by
acupuncture and the panels suggested people to use acupuncture more because
it is safe with fast results but much less expenses and no side effects.
