Our Vancouver based client is currently seeking to hire a Lead Firmware Verification/Validation Engineer
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Validation of firmware for leading edge storage semiconductor products.
- Root cause analysis
- Tool development
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BSEE or BCS
- 8+ years of embedded firmware design and/or test with solid system level/verification knowledge
- 3+ years in a technical leadership position
- Proficient programmer in C and assembly
- Proven ability to complete product level work (through commercial release).
- Proven ability to improve & adapt processes and tracking systems for rapidly evolving technical capabilities
- Capable of working with customers and technology partners in issue discovery resolution
- Knowledgeable in use of tool chains and debug tools.
- Strong communication skills.
- Willingness to set and meet deadlines.
DESIRABLE:
- Knowledge of SAS/SATA tools and operations
- Knowledge of Windows/Linux storage driver models
-ThreadX experience
- Knowledge of RTOS constructs including processes, threads, scheduling, synchronization mechanisms, memory management
- Knowledge of OS driver architectures in addition to Windows/Linux
- Experience with RAID/HBA and SAS/SATA/SCSI architectures
