A major technology corporation with annual revenues exceeding 400 million
has an immediate opening for Electro-Mechanical and Color Ink Jet Print
head Design and Development Engineers in Portland, OR.
TASKS:
Design develop, and translate new architectural print head concepts and
layouts to produce new mechanical components for color printer
subsystems. Demonstrate thermal designs for ink jet print heads.
Translate marketing data sheets and requirements into engineering design
solutions.
Perform Computer modeling of physical devices, computational fluid and
gas dynamics, structural dynamics. Produce new products through
experimental designs and execution of Prototypes. Analyze and present
test results through to fabrication and completion.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of. 3-5 years experience in Electro-Mechanical Production Design
Engineering
Need to have worked in a fast paced, team-oriented mechanical design
process, in either
injection molding, diecast or sheet metal.
Advanced experience in 3D CAD or Pro-E with solid matierials
Understanding of Process, Thermal, Mechanism, Motion, and Power
controls.
Skillful with prototype, modeling and electronic lab testing equipment.
Solid Computer programming skills in C or Fortran across PC, MAC, and
UNIX systems.
Experience in any of the following: PWB interconnect, Bonding, Pizo
electric, Flux cables
BSME
COMPENSATION:
These positions are in a well paying corporation. Compensation consists
of salary, bonuses, stock purchase plans, relocation and full medical
benefits.. The salary range will be commensurate with your experience
and productivity.
This position is in Portland, OR. where there’s no sales tax, auto
registration is under $35 per year and there are plenty of beautiful &
affordable homes with acreage. From Portland it is 75 minutes to the
coast and 90 minutes to the ski slopes.
