How to access to your medical records

to access reports and medical records? The other day, while at the
doctor's office, I was told that I couldn't get copies of my medical
chart/notes/or reports from specialists. In the past with another GP, I
was given this information without any problem.

i wouldn't be surprised if they charge you as they need cost to print
copies
but it's your personal information and there's no "privacy" issue
concerns
why couldn't you get your own medical records when you show up in
person and ask for a copy ?!?!

I am also looking for various books and CD's that I have discovered missing. All are marked Greg Carr on the inside cover or somewhere in the CD booklet. $5 reward for each CD and for each book. Will pay $200 for info regarding how they disappeared because I honestly don't know.

the wrong address and delayed the whole thing further. The cost should
be no more than 15 cents a page and the cost of postage. Some doctors
are not as competent as they should be.

tests, but it can get messy when there are medical reports or opinions
from other physicians or specialists. You can get most of the
information through the freedom of information act (dunno how to do
that, they make it freaken impossible how to find and access request
forms). However, you can't get them all, like doctor's notes/comments
ie. your medical chart that the doctor writes his comments on. SOme
doctors are ok and are willing to let you have them for a free or
nominal fee. I know one doctor's office that charges $1/page to
photocopy your report.

Well, that may make sense. Doctors are given reports from specialists
and they are in trust. For example, specialists don't give you the
reports, they send you to your general practioner to get the final
comments. If you wanted specialist reports, they you would probably
have to write or call the specialist. You also don't tell us what kind
of reports. Medical/Legal reports prepared by doctors for legal
proceedings like if you had an accident case pending in the courts cost
hundreds of dollars or many hundreds of dollars to prepare. If you want
an accurate helpful reply, you have to be more specific else everybody
has to guess what you are trying to ask.
Also if you are suing one of the doctors your general practioner sent
you to, I could see a professional reluctantance to turn over all your
general practioner's collection of reports on you to you for free or
absent a court order.

No actually. He gave me a prescription for a skin problem and it
worked great. Too bad I can't remember the name of it as I sometimes
see ppl that could use it.

medical information. As with everything, there're people out there that
give others a hard time when they want to exercise their rights. With
most Canadians, for some odd, reason, they just smile as they get a
stick shoved up their ass. They just suck it up abuse and violations.
They don't bother complaining or give up immediately if they're intially
rejected .

In my case it was info from my mom. I wasn't aware that she was
talking to him. When you have someone who is drunk 6 times a week usu.
starting at noon, whose major leisure hobby is making vats of wine it
wasn't surprising she got some of it wrong. Some of it was outright
lies.

In my case I have his notes but some of them are unreadable because of
his poor handwriting. Just my luck his office street address is 8181
and it had a Lil Devil tag on the building.
