Hotshot Outlaw pleads guilty

By ROB LAMBERTI, TORONTO SUN

A MAN police rank as the No. 2 Outlaw in Ontario admitted the bikers
are a criminal gang when he pleaded guilty yesterday to gun, drug and
criminal association charges. Kevin Legere, 44, was sentenced in
London court to the 925 days in custody he served awaiting trial and
three years probation, which prevents him from associating with other
bikers.

He was past national v-p of the Outlaws, and past president of the
London and Woodstock chapters.

The guilty plea is "significant," said Hamilton Det.-Sgt. Steve Pacey,
formerly with biker enforcement.

"He's acknowledging that the Outlaws are a criminal organization and
he's acknowledging he's committing offences for the benefit of the
club." Conviction for a crime committed in connection with a criminal
gang can add 14 years to jail time.

Arrested in 2002 during Project Retire, Legere pleaded guilty to 16
charges including importing firearms from the U.S. He is the 15th
Outlaw to plead guilty to criminal organization charges in Project
Retire.

http://www.redwhiteclothing.ca/club/page98.html has the Hell's Angels
of all people proclaiming that this man and his Outlaws MC buddies are
victims of an Ontario govt witch hunt. Strange. Hopefully the OPP can
bust more Hell's Angels with the ego boost they get from this
conviction. Nice to see the asset seizure including the loss of the
bike and colours.
